Scholarships

Program Overview

As part of our commitment to the local midstream and gas processing industry, the Appalachian Basin GPA Midstream Association (ABGPA Midstream) has initiated a scholarship program to support the educational endeavors of our future members and industry employees.

ABGPA Midstream promotes regional growth within our industry by awarding financial support through our scholarship program to Engineering and Technical School students interested in Midstream careers. For the 2019 academic school year, the Appalachian Basin Chapter will award scholarships up to a total of $17,000.

NEW for 2019: Starting in the 2019 program year, we are now accepting applications from current members of ABGPA Midstream and their sponsored immediate family members. Members must be in good standing and a have held a membership for at least one year prior to applying.

 
The ABGPA Midstream Scholarship Committee is composed of a minimum of three members appointed by the Board of Directors. Applications will be reviewed by the Scholarship Committee and will provide a recommendation of nominees to the Board of Directors.

The Scholarship Committee will judge applications based on merit to students who’s academic and extra-curricular activities demonstrate a desire to succeed, a commitment to making a positive contribution to others and whose application substantiates the minimum requirements.
