PRIVACY POLICY

GPA Midstream Appalachian Basin Chapter (“ABGPA“) operates abgpamidstream.org and may operate other websites. It is ABGPA’Ss policy to respect your privacy regarding any information we may collect while operating our websites.

Website Visitors

Like most website operators, ABGPA collects information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. ABGPA’S purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how ABGPA’S visitors use its website. From time to time, ABGPA may release non-personally identifying information in the aggregate, e.g., by publishing a report on trends in the usage of its website.

ABGPA also collects potentially personally-identifying information like Internet Protocol (IP) addresses for logged in users and for users leaving comments on abgpamidstream.org. ABGPA only discloses logged in user and commenter IP addresses under the same circumstances that it uses and discloses personally-identifying information as described below.

Gathering of Personally-Identifying Information

Certain visitors to ABGPA’S websites choose to interact with ABGPA in ways that require ABGPA to gather personally-identifying information. The amount and type of information that ABGPA gathers depends on the nature of the interaction. For example, we ask visitors who sign up at abgpamidstream.org to provide a username and email address.

In each case, ABGPA collects such information only insofar as is necessary or appropriate to fulfill the purpose of the visitor’s interaction with ABGPA. ABGPA does not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below.

ABGPA may collect statistics about the behavior of visitors to its websites. ABGPA may display this information publicly or provide it to others. However, ABGPA does not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below.

Protection of Certain Personally-Identifying Information

ABGPA discloses personally-identifying information only to those of its employees, contractors and affiliated organizations that (i) need to know that information in order to process it on ABGPA’S behalf or to provide services available at ABGPA’S websites, and (ii) that have agreed not to disclose it to others. Some of those employees, contractors and affiliated organizations may be located outside of your home country; by using ABGPA’S websites, you consent to the transfer of such information to them.

ABGPA will not rent or sell your information to anyone. Other than to its employees, contractors and affiliated organizations, as described above, ABGPA discloses potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information only in response to a subpoena, court order or other governmental request, or when ABGPA believes in good faith that disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect the property or rights of ABGPA, third parties or the public at large.

If you have provided ABGPA an email address, ABGPA may occasionally send you emails to tell you about new features, industry trends, solicit your feedback, or just keep you up to date with what’s going on with ABGPA and our products. If you do not wish to receive emails from ABGPA, you may unsubscribe at any time by contacting us. All requests to be unsubscribed from our email lists are strictly followed. If you are located outside of the United States, please be aware that your information will be transferred to, processed and stored in the United States and in other countries where we do business. By submitting your personal data, you agree that we may transfer, process and store your data in this way. Wherever the data is, it will be treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable privacy laws in North America and the EU.  These laws may be different from the privacy laws in your country. However, this does not change our commitments to safeguard your privacy and we will comply with all applicable laws relating to the cross-border data disclosure of your personal information.

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorized access or disclosure we have put in place suitable electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard the information we collect online through the use of a variety of commercially reasonable, industry standard physical, administrative and technical safeguards. This includes, but is not limited to access controls, employee training, industry-standard encryption, firewalls, and server authentication technology to protect data when the Sites are accessed. We host data in a secure server and cloud-based environment that use firewalls and other industry-standard technology in an effort to prevent interference or access from outside intruders. The Internet, however, is not perfectly secure and we are not responsible for security incidents not reasonably foreseeable or reasonably within our control.

Cookies

A cookie is a string of information that a website stores on a visitor’s computer, and that the visitor’s browser provides to the website each time the visitor returns. ABGPA uses cookies to help ABGPA identify and track visitors, their usage of ABGPA website, and their website access preferences. ABGPA visitors who do not wish to have cookies placed on their computers should set their browsers to refuse cookies before using ABGPA’S websites, with the drawback that certain features of ABGPA’S websites may not function properly without the aid of cookies.

If ABGPA, or substantially all of its assets, were acquired, user information would be one of the assets that is transferred or acquired by a third party.
